Safwan A. Khan is a public policy professional with over five years of experience in policy advisory and research in Pakistan. Before taking an academic sabbatical, he has been associated with premier think tanks in his country, the Sustainable Development Policy Institute and the Jinnah Institute, where his work broadly focused on inclusive economic growth, sustainable development, climate change, and strategic security. In his latest assignment, Safwan also worked as a policy aide to Senator Sherry Rehman, a senior politician who has previously served as a federal minister and Pakistan's ambassador to the US. In 2016, Safwan was selected as a Gates Scholar for the MPhil Public Policy programme at Cambridge's Department of POLIS. Safwan graduated from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, with a degree in Economics.
