I studied English at Cambridge, graduating in 2013. Since then I have trained and worked in a London academy as a secondary school English teacher.
I have also conducted research for CfBT, helping to improve and standardise assessment practices within two juvenile prisons. I also support the continuing professional development of teachers in the UK. I have written articles for the newly formed College of Teaching and have contributed to the final stages of their blueprint document. More recently I am interested in the potential of technology to enhance education both for children and adults. I worked as a content developer on a Cambridge based start-up, aiming to improve numeracy and literacy standards for early stage learners in India. Through this MPhil I am interested in understanding about how evidence-based policy decisions can accelerate progress and improve standards in sectors such as education, and also about how governments can best work with technologists to improve digitalisation within the public sector.
