Tom McMinigal holds a B.A. in Economics and Politics from the University of Durham (First Class Honours). He has worked as a management consultant for Deloitte and as a committee clerk for the States of Jersey Assembly.
Upon graduating in 2012, Tom moved to London and joined Deloitte as a management consultant. He worked in this capacity for 2 years before returning to Jersey in 2014 to take up a position as a committee clerk for the States of Jersey Assembly. As the Clerk to the Privileges and Procedures Committee, Tom was involved in recent initiatives to reform the Island's electoral system, review the role of the Presiding Officer and introduce web-streaming of meetings of the States Assembly. Whilst pursuing the MPP, Tom would like to learn more about the topics of social mobility and education reform, amongst other things. Looking to the future, he would love to work abroad and would jump at the chance to work for an international organisation.
