Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS)

Research In Politics and International Studies in Cambridge

The Department is committed to conducting and producing research in Politics and International Studies of the highest quality. Our strengths lie in political thought (with important synergies with the Faculties of History and Philosophy), International relations (including foreign and security policy, international history and international law), political economy, and comparative politics (both with an international dimension). Following established tradition in Cambridge, we do not see these fields as sharply separate, but recognise and explore the relations between them.
