Maciej Tomecki


Maciej Tomecki is a member of St Edmund’s college. His main area of academic research is the intersection between artificial intelligence and energy policy. Maciej is passionate about the impact of AI on smart energy grids optimization with a large share of renewable energy sources. 

He was an expert in govermental strategic projects, such as public procurement reform, Polish Industry 4.0 Platform or low-emission economy. He has also previously worked for the Ministry of Economy as an advisor to the Minister in the EU energy policy area. Moreover, he gained profesional experience in private sector for example in Clifford Chance law firm and PKO BP bank.

Prior to coming to Cambridge, he completed studies at the Faculty of Law, University of Warsaw. Maciej is a devoted fan of English Premier League. During his free time, he plays squash, tennis and football.
