Arianna Kandell

Arianna Kandell is very much looking forward to returning to academia, after work in international development and political fundraising--which so far has taken her to the UK, Haiti and Israel. Most recently, she did development for a non-profit/action fund that works to register and engage unmarried women, communities of color and Millennials. For the 2016 campaign cycle, she did campaign finance for two Congressional campaigns that took her to Upstate New York and Detroit area Michigan. Prior to that, she was part of writing the Global Strategy for Maternal, Newborn and Adolescent Health, interned in UK Parliament and the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, did research at a legal non-profit in Port-au-Prince, and spent seven years working for author Dave Eggers. In her spare time, she enjoys playing music, exploring new cities and good food, and (slowly) learning how to properly cook. She earned a bachelor’s degree from UC Berkeley and studied abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
