Julian Tollestrup


Julian comes from a background in economics with a focus on energy, technology, and environmental matters. Most recently, he has been focussed on science and innovation policy within the Office of the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor in New Zealand. In this capacity, he has also been involved in leading an intergovernmental forum that looks to better understand economic, science, and foreign policy challenges unique to small countries. His prior experience includes work around the economics of renewable energy and climate change, particularly within the South Pacific. Julian’s current interests include the role of science and innovation policy in bringing together social, economic and environmental objectives.
