Clara Ma graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Science in geophysics and political science and a certificate in energy studies. Originally from Kansas City, Clara joins the MPP program as a Churchill Scholar after working as a research fellow in climate science at the United States Department of Energy and as an analyst at the U.S. Federal Energy Regulatory Commission. Her academic interests include Sino-US climate and energy diplomacy, Arctic geopolitics and climate change, and aerosol-climate interactions. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, playing chess, and studying foreign languages.
