Seema grew up in Syria as a bilingual (French and Arabic). She graduated from Sciences Po Paris with a bachelor in Middle Eastern studies and masters in finance. Following graduation, she worked for three years at EY (ex-Ernst & Young) as a senior financial auditor. After that experience, she decided her work should have a more direct positive impact on societies and she joined a microfinance platform where she was helping microentrepreneurs finance their microcredits.

With this dual expertise in finance and public policy, she would be better equipped to formulate policies impacting economic and social growth.

Seema is dedicated to the economic and social development of Middle eastern societies. More specifically, she wants to advocate for the survival and the financing of small local enterprises and for the development of social businesses in the Middle East as they address both economic and social challenges.
