Public Policy

Cambridge Institute for Public Policy (CIPP)

Established in 2017 under the Directorship of Professor Mike Kenny, the Cambridge Institute for Public Policy (CIPP) seeks to understand the nature and development of political turmoil, economic dislocation and technological transformation as a unique series of challenges for policy-makers and citizens. The Institute will work closely with policy-makers from across the UK, and in the wider world, offering solutions as well as evidence, and helping practitioners rethink the problems they face, drawing upon research which is innovative, academically rigorous and rooted in the world-class research associated with the natural and social sciences at Cambridge.

The website for the CIPP is here: www.policyinstitute.polis.cam.ac.uk

Cambridge Public Policy SRI

The aim of the Strategic Research Initiative on Public Policy is to bring together expertise in public policy research from across the university in order to collaborate, share knowledge, and build a research community. Policy-related research at the University takes place in all Schools providing a breadth of research in specific policy domains, for example, public health, law and economics. There are over 30 separate groups and centres working directly or indirectly on policy issues.
