Research

My doctoral research revolves around developing a novel republicanism in political philosophy. The main thesis is that if we are going to be republicans rather than liberals, then we should be perfectionist republicans in a broadly Aristotelian fashion. Other research interests include philosophical concepts of freedom, Friedrich Nietzsche, the political thought of Judith Shklar, political realism, and the philosophy of Bernard Williams, Alasdair MacIntyre, and Charles Taylor.

Thesis Title: Perfectionist Aristotelian Republicanism
Supervisor: Dr. Christopher Brooke
