POLIS Festival of Ideas 2019

The Department of POLIS is excited to announce participation in this autumn's Festival of Ideas. We are delighted to have contributions from PhD students, Researchers, PostDocs and Academics in this year's lineup. The main day of events at the Sidgwick site will be concentrated on Saturday 19 October 2019. POLIS events are: 

  • 11am Changing Perceptions through Arts: Creativity in post-conflict societies by Maja Spanu
  • 11:30am The 2020 Presidential Election: Ideological and Institutional Change in American Politics by Sophie Rosenburg, Dan Smith, David Talbot
  • 1pm Managing Change in the Fourth Industrial Revolution by Mateus Labrunie
  • 1pm Re-ordering The Balkans by Timothy Less
  • 3:30pm Digital Life in Cities of Refuge by Matt Mahmoudi

There is one more POLIS activity on Friday 25 October 2019: 

  • Economics & climate change: from getting it wrong to making it right by Matthew Agarwala (Bennett Institute)
