Amir is a Venezuelan geopolitical analyst focused on Latin America. He holds a BA in Politics from the American University of Beirut and a diploma in media and communications. Before joining ClipperData as a geopolitical analyst, Amir worked at the Issam Fares Institute for Public Policy and International Affairs and at Eqlim, a business intelligence start-up. In the last few years, his work has revolved around connecting economic, social, and political events in Latin America with the flow of commodities such as oil, gasoline, diesel, and gases. He has as well monitored the export mechanisms used by sanctioned nations to keep commodities flowing. As part of his job, Amir became a media commentator and analyst of Venezuela's political and energy situation being interviewed by agencies such as BBC, The Guardian, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, ABC, CNBC, Euronews, and others.


Amir’s research interest is in the revival of Venezuela’s energy industry and the transition to cleaner energies in his country and Latin America.
