Constantin Scheller was born in Bonn, Germany and grew up in Berlin. Before joining the MPP programme, he worked for an MP of the German Parliament, coordinating his work in the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Affairs and Energy, with a focus on energy policy. In this capacity, he supported the Parliamentarian negotiations on Germany’s exit from coal and the reform of the German Renewable Energy Sources Act. Prior to this, he worked for an NGO advocating ambitious energy efficiency policy, pursuing his interest in energy policy, and laying the fundament of his knowledge in that field. He studied Political Science in Vienna and Limerick and holds a B.A. from the University of Vienna. There he mainly focussed on EU policy and integration theories as well as economic policy. In his bachelor’s thesis, he examined the policy-making process that led to the creation of the European Banking Union.
