Sara completed her dual Bachelor´s degree in Business Administration and International Relations, after which she joined Ashoka, an international organization that promotes social entrepreneurship by building and cultivating a community of change leaders. This experience would inspire her to co-found Finfem, an organization that aims to empower and promote the participation of women in the financial sector.

Subsequent to Ashoka, Sara worked in an international development firm in Washington D.C, where she implemented projects funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in El Salvador and in Peru. She provided direct operational, contractual, and financial support to these projects, gaining experience on the challenges of policy implementation.

Through the Master of Public Policy at Cambridge Sara hopes to gain the skills to design, implement and evaluate policies that allow Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to unleash their potential impact on economic growth and gender equality in developing countries.
