Author Mary Ononokpono talks about how her work has been inspired by her MPhil in African Studies

Mary Onoŋokpono is a Nigerian-British writer with a POLIS MPhil in African Studies. Her short story 'Firewater', about a child's perspective of the Atlantic slave trade, has been awarded first prize by a competition for emerging African writers.
