Thesis Title: The Limitations of Legal Empowerment Initiatives in Burundi
Biography:
Elizabeth Paradis is a PhD candidate in the department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge. She is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Cambridge Review of International Affairs.
She holds an LLM in International Law from the University of Cambridge and a dual degree in Civil Law (LL.L. summa cum laude) and International Development (B.Sc.Soc. magna cum laude) from the University of Ottawa.
Previously, Elizabeth has worked as a law clerk at the Federal Court of Canada and as a legal intern for the Office of the International Co-Prosecutor at the Extraordinary Chambers to the Courts of Cambodia (ECCC).
