Overview:  

The People’s Republic of China, led by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), is a study in contrasts—and in scale. How can a country hold more CCP members than the population of Germany, house more billionaires than any nation but the United States, and still see millions of migrant workers and marginalised communities struggling for survival? How does China reconcile a revolutionary past with a capitalist present, spectacular metropolises with remote villages, and global power ambitions with persistent domestic challenges? Understanding China demands patience, historical perspective, and a willingness to question one’s own assumptions about politics, society, and power.
