Biography

Dr Filip Mandys is a Research Associate at the Bennett Institute for Public Policy at the University of Cambridge. His research focuses on the drivers of productivity in key sectors of the UK economy and productivity performance across countries. Filip is also working as a Senior Researcher at the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs, where his research focuses on energy economics, labour economics, and macroeconomic analysis of the Czech labour market, in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour.

Previously, he worked as a Research Consultant at the European Investment Fund, analysing aspects of private equity, venture capital, and business angel investors, green finance, ESG considerations, and the impact of the energy crisis.

Filip holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Surrey, and his thesis focused on the demand and pricing aspects of clean and conventional automobiles in the UK. His research interests revolve around energy and environmental economics, labour economics, and applied econometrics.
