Garima Jaju is a Smuts Research Fellow in Commonwealth Studies. She is interested in the anthropological study of the economy, paying attention to the everyday experiences and expressions of labour, care, and politics, with a regional focus on post-liberalisation India. Garima holds a DPhil and MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Oxford, and BA in Economics from the University of Delhi. Prior to joining the Centre, she was a Post Doctoral Research Associate on the ESRC funded ‘GendV Project’ based at the Department of Sociology, University of Cambridge.
