Research

Simon is a doctoral student at POLIS working on EU integration and institutional change amid geopolitical power shifts. His dissertation focuses on how various actors – individuals, states, and institutions – interpret critical ruptures in world politics and, in doing so, renegotiate who they are and where they are headed.

Prior to joining Cambridge, Simon studied Philosophy, Law, and Political Science at departments across Europe, including Munich, Dublin, and Copenhagen.

Thesis Title: Geopolitical Power Europe: Narrating the Self in Space and Time
Supervisor: Prof. Mette Eilstrup-Sangiovanni
