Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS)

Antoine is a PhD candidate in the department of Politics and International Studies at the University of Cambridge. A political theorist, his PhD work focuses on the implications of the use of social media in contemporary democracies and attempts to bridge normative democratic theory with empirical research conducted in France in 2022-2023.

Alongside his PhD, Antoine is currently working with Dr. Sharath Srinivasan on a long-term project on the political theory of communication technology in a historical perspective.

His research interests include radical democratic thought, the politics of technology, media and communication studies, populism, and the history of 20th century political thought.

Before coming to Cambridge for his MPhil (obtained with distinction in 2020), Antoine studied at SciencesPo and Columbia University, from which he graduated summa cum laude with a dual B.A. in 2016.
