Research

His research interests include various topics in political theory, and the history of political, social, and economic thought. His investigation explores the different ways human decision making, interest articulation, and judgment have been construed by political theorists, and how alternative ways of doing so might either clarify troublesome questions in political theory or open genuinely new visions of politics. He focuses particularly on questions of representation and institutional redesign. Other research interests include: democratic theory, social choice and decision theory, Max Weber, and the relationship between the philosophy of mind and political theory.

Thesis Title: In the Interest of Politics: Interests, interpretation, and judgment in political theory
